I echo Mason Currey’s disappointment about the Waterfalls in New York.

Compare the rendering to the actual thing.

Though a full supporter of public art, the $15.5 million price tag does make me wince in these economic times. Kevin Belson assesses the potential economic impact of the Waterfalls in the New York Times.
